and chevy chase say it's about time. residents in this area have called this stretch of roadway "the green mile. wisconsin avenue between norwood drive and cumberland avenue full of trees. five of them are coming down starting today. >> i look over there all the time but i will not go over there because it looks dangerous. >> felicia works in the area and chooses to walk across the street from barack and elm trees. she and many others say they are potential safety hazard. -- walk across the street from rotting entries. >> after a storm there was a power line hang in front of me and i almost wanted to because the tree was in the way. >> maryland state highway administration reviewed all the trees in the area and decided just the five need to be removed. they say the elm trees were damaged by a vehicle crashes or severe weather.

construction projects. the hot lanes on 95 and the 495 express lanes are the reason. they will allow people to be able to travel from stafford to springfield and then on to tysons corner at speed which does not happen many mornings with the backups that occur. they say you will be able to do this when all the projects are complete. the 495 express lanes are expected to be completed in a matter of months in december. the 95 hot lanes are expected to be completed sometime iin 2015. many predictions were that this would alleviate traffic congestion. now they are saying this will eliminate us from some of those lists that put us as the worst in the country. no specific estimates on the tolls for the 495 express lanes. those will be dynamic holes

changing with the flow of traffic, estimated at $5 or $6. there's an hov portion where you would need three or more people in the car to avoid the polls. >> homes are still flooded and power is still out in many parts of louisiana.
